- Head of the Department of Neurology and Epileptology at The Children’s Memorial Health Institute – the leading pediatric referral center in Poland.
- representative of Poland in The Board of Member States for European Reference Networks for rare and complex disorders
- vice president of the Polish Rare Disorders Committee
- leader of the Coordinating Group for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy in Poland
- member of the scientific board of BrainCity MAB
- graduated from Silesian Medical University
- PhD thesis on the regeneration in the central nervous system and her habilitation on the regeneration of the peripheral nerves in experimental settings
- postdoc training at Universite Paris-7
- was involved, as a leader or investigator, in several international and national research projects
- currently the leader of the clinical part of EPISTP project funded by 7th FP and EPIMARKER project funded from STRATEGMED program
Qualifications and trainings:
- certified specialization in neurology and child neurology
- other professional skills: neurodegenerative disorders, demyelinating disorders, rare and complex epilesies, regeneration in central and peripeharl nervous system, GCP, experimental and clinical studies methodology
Research interests:
- clinical research interests mainly focused on epileptogenesis and neurocutaneous disorders
- other research interests: development of tumors and epilepsy in neurocutaneous disorders, demyelinating disorders, regerenation in the central and peripheral nervous system
