  • professor of neurology and child neurology
  • Head of the Department of Neurology and Epileptology at The Children’s Memorial Health Institute – the leading  pediatric referral center  in Poland.
  • representative of Poland in The Board of Member States for European Reference Networks for rare and complex disorders
  • vice president of the Polish Rare Disorders Committee
  • leader of the Coordinating Group for the treatment of spinal muscular  atrophy in Poland
  • member of the scientific board of BrainCity MAB
  • graduated from Silesian Medical University
  • PhD thesis on the regeneration in the central nervous system and her habilitation on the regeneration of the peripheral nerves in experimental settings
  • postdoc training at Universite Paris-7
  • was involved, as a leader or investigator, in several  international and  national research  projects
  • currently the leader of the clinical part of EPISTP project funded by 7th FP and EPIMARKER project funded from STRATEGMED program

Qualifications and trainings:

  • certified specialization in  neurology and  child neurology
  • other professional skills: neurodegenerative disorders, demyelinating disorders, rare and complex epilesies, regeneration in  central and peripeharl nervous system, GCP, experimental and clinical  studies methodology

Research interests:

  • clinical research interests mainly focused on epileptogenesis and neurocutaneous disorders
  • other research interests: development of tumors and epilepsy in neurocutaneous disorders, demyelinating disorders, regerenation in the  central and peripheral  nervous system
