Biography:
- second-degree pediatric specialist and specialist in cardiology and pediatric cardiology
- in 1993-1994 – completed annual training in the International School of Cardiology in Bergamo, Italy, obtaining a specialization diploma in the field of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery
- member of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology (member of Working Group on Genetics, Basic Science and Myocardial Disease), the European Society of Cardiology (member of the Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases), Polish Cardiac Society (member of the Management Board of the Sports Cardiology Section of the Polish Cardiac Society)
- from 2011 to 2015 – secretary of the Pediatric Cardiology Section of the Polish Cardiac Society
- from 2011 until now – member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Branch of the Polish Pediatric Society
- articipated in the implementation of 4 research projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education/National Science Center and is the National Coordinator of 3 international science projects
- has published 260 articles in foreign and Polish journals
- author of chapters in 6 monographs and textbooks
- cnducts didactic activity as a lecturer in the field of pediatric cardiology at the Medical Center for Postgraduate Education courses and cardiology and pediatric conferences
Qualifications and trainings:
- specialization in pediatrics first and second degree
- specjalization in cardiology and pediatric cardiology
- Other professional qualifications: Conducting Clinical Trials under ICH Good Clinical Practice; CRDE Clinical Research, numerous Polish and foreign courses and trainings in the field of pediatric cardiology
Research interests:
- actively participates in the implementation of scientific programs including diagnostics and treatment of congenital and acquired heart diseases in children
- special scientific, didactic and clinical interests concern the problems of inherited and acquired myocardial diseases in children such as cardiomyopathies, myocarditis, pericarditis, infective endocarditis
