Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam – this is where two researchers involved in the AntiSepsis project had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the pharmacokinetics of antimicrobial drugs.
The internship allowed them not only to explore the theoretical principles of therapy monitoring, but also to see how the laboratory, clinical pharmacist and physician work together in making therapeutic decisions.
During their stay in the Netherlands, our researchers prepared to conduct pharmacokinetic analyses and developed comments on the test results, taking into account individual patient parameters. This experience showed them how important interdisciplinary cooperation is in optimising drug therapy.
Erasmus MC is one of the leading medical centres in Europe, where innovation, research and clinical practice go hand in hand.
We are delighted that Agnieszka Czajkowska, MSc, and Arkadiusz Kocur, MD, PhD, were able to be part of this environment!
