Biography:

  • assistant in the Department of Public Health in The Children’s Memorial Health Institute (CMHI) in Warsaw
  • contributed to nationally representative health surveys: the OLAF PL0080 study (EEA and Norway Grants, MSHE, 2007-2010) and the OLA NR13 0002 06 study (NCRD, 2009-2012) in which the reference blood pressure ranges were elaborated for children and adolescents in Poland
  • contributed to educational project „Zachowaj Równowagę” KIK-34 (Swiss Contribution, 2012-2016) regarding education and awareness-raising among pregnant women and nursing mothers and EU project TOYBOX (2012-2013) which general objective was to identify key behaviours related to obesity in early childhood and best practices for changing these behaviours
  • principal investigator of 2 grants for young scientists concerned with: a) statistical methods of development blood pressure references M7/13 (2013-2014) and b) analysis of the causes of deaths M10/14 (2014-2016)
  • contributes to two nationwide projects of the National Health Program (NHP) regarding comprehensive epidemiological studies on the diet and nutritional status of children and adolescents in Poland (2017-2020)
  • author and co-author of 41 publications (19 in PubMed).

Research interests:

  • Epidemiology of overweight and obesity, reference charts, blood pressure references,
  • analysis of causes of death and mortality trends
  • influence of socioeconomic factors on health, diet and nutritional status of children and adolescents
