Biography:

  • professor of institute in Kinesiology Lab, Dept. Rehabilitation of The Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, which is a research institute and reference paediatric hospital for Poland
  • since 2008 board member of Polish Society of Biomechanics
  • in years 2008-2016 – treasurer for the Society of Biomechanics
  • from 2005 to 2015 – board member of European Society for Movement Analysis of Adults and Children (ESMAC)
  • from 2006 to 2015 – Secretary Treasurer of ESMAC
  • organisator (with prof. K.R.Skalski) of XIII Annual Meeting of ESMAC in Warsaw
  • took part in two international projects (EU project PERFECT and polish-swedish project financed by The Swedish Institute)
  • manager and employee in over 10 research projects  financed among others by KBN, MNiSW, NCN i NCBiR
  • manager in  POIG.02.01.00-14-059/09 pt. Wieloprofilowa modernizacja infrastruktury naukowo-badawczej Instytutu „Pomnik – Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka” acronim ROBIN, budget 36 mln zł. Currently she manages the CMHI team in NCBiR project  „Wirtualna klinika równowagi” acronim VBClinic which was won within III Contest „Profilaktyka i leczenie chorób cywilizacyjnych” STRATEGMED
  • from July 2015 to May 2014 – deputy director for scientific research in CMHI
  • from 06.02.2013 to 04.12.2018 director of CMHI
  • author and co-author of over 150 full text papers in reviewed scientific journals. Since 2005 she organizes in CMHI a one day symposia about movement analysis (every first Friday of March)

Qualifications and trainings:

  • graduated from Department of Mechanics Energetics and Aviation of Warsaw University of Technology (personalized course of studies, specialization Applied Mechanics, subspecilaization biomechanics)
  • PhD studies at Institute for Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences
  • PhD at Department of Fine Mechanics of Warsaw University of Technology,
  • habilitation II Medical faculty of The Poznan University of Medical Sciences

Research interests:

  • Clinical biomechanics
  • motor control
  • clinical movement analysis
  • objective assessment of the treatment outcomes, balance and gait in clinical environment
