The first morphological course “Morphology of the cardiovascular system and its developmental for interventional cardiologists”, co-financed from the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020, took place on 24-25 April.

The program of the course included 18 didactic hours, including 6 hours of theoretical lectures and 12 hours of practical exercises, including 6 hours of medical simulation. Practical exercises were based on work with fixed preparations of hearts with congenital defects and printed models in three-dimensional printing technology. The task of the participants was to predict the direction of the defect progression, possible co-existing anatomical problems (eg the course of structures of the conducting system) and potential risks to the course of interventional treatment.
