The National Contact Point for Cross-border Healthcare (NCP) together with the European Commission – DG SANTE organised on 09.10.2024. “Educational Workshop – Patients’ rights to cross-border healthcare”. In addition to the issue of cross-border healthcare, the meeting addressed the European Reference Networks.

The part of the meeting dedicated to European Reference Networks was discussed by experts from the Children’s Memorial Health Institute (CMHI):

• prof. dr hab. n. med. Katarzyna Kotulska-Jóźwiak
  Development and direction of expansion of European Reference Networks in Poland.
• prof. dr hab. n. med. Sergiusz Jóźwiak
  Poland’s participation in the European Reference Networks on the example of the CMHI.
• prof. dr hab. n. med. Piotr Kaliciński
  Participation of the CMHI in the activities of the ERN Transplantchild, experiences to date.

Discussions on the ERN were held in 2 rounds with the participation of a representative of the European Commission from DG SANTE, a representative of the Ministry of Health and medical and administrative staff of hospitals involved in the creation of European Reference Networks.

The panel discussion was closed by the Director of the CMHI – Dr Marek Migdał.
