We are delighted to announce that the first surgeries using a robotic system have been successfully performed at the Paediatric Surgery and Organ Transplantation Clinic. This groundbreaking event is the culmination of several months of intensive preparations – from submitting a grant application to the Medical Research Agency, through the RAMIPS project tender process and the reconstruction of the operating theatre, to the implementation and fine-tuning of advanced IT equipment.
The project was made possible thanks to the commitment and professionalism of a team of several people, who deserve our sincere thanks and congratulations. The joint effort of surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technicians, technicians, coordinators and support staff shows how much can be achieved through interdisciplinary cooperation.
Thanks to the implementation of robotic technology, our facility has confirmed its status as a world-class centre – in terms of medical, management, logistical and technical competence. What is more, the positive assessment of the project has been confirmed by Polish and foreign experts who visited the Institute and examined our team.
However, the greatest value of the entire project is the team – people who worked with passion and commitment for our success. The satisfaction and health of the patients who are returning to their homes today are the most valuable reward for all of us.
