On 27th of December 2024, on Polish Television’s „Pytanie na Śniadanie” programme, Dr Agnieszka Różdżyńska-Świątkowska, professor of the CMHI, talked about the Antek app „Mum, Dad, check if I’m developing healthily”.

This was a great opportunity to present the capabilities of the app, which was developed as a result of scientific research conducted at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute. Thanks to the app, specialists, but above all parents, can monitor the physical development of children from birth to 18 years of age on an ongoing basis. The application will help interpret the measurement results and notify if they deviate from the norm in an alarming way. It will assess the risk of abdominal obesity in a child based on waist circumference measurements in comparison with the Polish norm. Due to the data on which it is based, the application is a globally unique method of early obesity diagnosis, allowing for effective intervention and prevention.
