Biography:

  • Associate Professor of The Children’s Memorial Health Institute (CMHI) in Warsaw which is the referral pediatric hospital for Poland
  • Deputy Head in the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Organ Transplantation
  • repeatedly participated as a lecturer during the CMKP courses and trainings organized by Poltransplant and as part of the ETPOD (European Training Program on Organ Donation) project
  • member of the “Education and Training” Working Group in the European Reference Network for Pediatric Transplantation
  • published over 100 peer reviewed papers and contributed to 5 book chapters

Qualifications and trainings:

  • graduated in pediatric surgery, clinical transplantology
  • diploma of the European Specialization in Pediatric Surgery, issued by The European Board in Pediatric Surgery
  • other medical/research skills: Postgraduate Management Studies, University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management: Management in therapeutic entities in the era of ownership transformations
  • diplomas of the Course of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Course – The Third European Post Graduate Intensive Course ESPEN and the Laparoscopic Course – Advanced Course in Laparoscopic Digestive Surgery, Strasbourg, France

Research interests:

  • research and clinical works were mainly devoted to the problems of organs transplantation in children and pediatric surgery –  particularly reconstruction of the esophagus
