We would like to inform, that the “Kids4LIFe – Assessing Kids for Liver Inflation and Fibrosis using non-invasive MRI” project, carried out at CMHI, as part of cooperation with Perspectum Diagnostics in Oxford (a leading research center for the development of non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging techniques) and SILVERMEDIA ARE from Cracow, received the EUREKA Innovation Award 2019 Project of the Year for the best innovative achievement at the Eureka Global Innovation Summit in Manchester in May 2019. CMHI was the only clinical partner of the project in Europe. The project was carried out under the guidance of prof. Piotr Socha in the Clinic of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Nutrition Disorders and Pediatrics, in cooperation with the Department of Imaging Diagnostics and the Department of Pathology. The project evaluated the effectiveness of new non-invasive imaging techniques in children with liver disease, mainly AIH, PSC, and Wilson’s disease.
