An article co-authored by Prof. Jarosław Kierkuś, Deputy Head of the Clinic of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Eating Disorders and Paediatrics at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, was published in one of the most prestigious and influential medical journals „The Lancet” entitled: „Efficacy and safety of mirikizumab in patients with moderately-to-severely active Crohn’s disease: a phase 3, multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled and active-controlled, treat-through study”.

This publication concerns new treatment options for Crohn’s disease, one of the most debilitating and difficult to control chronic diseases. Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease that can lead to serious complications and significantly affect patients’ quality of life.
